The school counseling program at Linkhorn Park Elementary is designed to promote the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students. An essential part of the instructional program, school counseling helps to build a foundation for student learning and success.

About Your Counselors
Mrs. Amy Wight is excited to join the Linkhorn family as the full-time school counselor. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from George Mason University and M.Ed. in Counseling in Education from ODU. This is her 19th year working for VBCPS as a school counselor and she loves working at the elementary level.
Mrs. Joanie Wood is our Itinerant School Counselor. She serves two elementary schools and we are fortunate to have her at Linkhorn Park on Thursdays.
